Governor

Thomas Edward Cooke is the 44th and Current Governor of the State Of New Shire State. Gov. Cooke served as the 21st Lt. Governor from April 30, 2021, until his inauguration as the 44th Governor Of New Shire.


Governor Cooke has been a champion of the people of the State Of New Shire, often interacting directly with the the citizens of the State. Governor Cooke who at the time was the Lt Governor made efforts to speak with the communities he visits.


Cooke started out his career as several company Chief Executive Officers such as retail Giant Product Mart's CEO and Arrow Airlines CEO. He gained the leadership skills that help him run New Shire as the State's Governor. Over his first month as Governor, Cooke has enacted several policies including his Executive Order mandating the State Treasury to issue Rent Assistance Checks for eligible families. The premise was to pay for families who were hit hard(financially) from COVID-19. The Governor also approved a 2.4 Billion Dollar Package which would allow the state to continue to provide rent assistance to more and more families whose income was below the State's COVID-19 Low Income Requirement.


He also signed executive orders which mandated mask wearing in schools Statewide. A step which positively impacted the popularity of Cooke. Cooke also signed a series of legislative packages which re-closed State Schools due to the ongoing and rising cases of COVID-19 among school children.


Cooke will serve out the rest of former Governor Of New Shire Mark Maulkinkski's term which will end on May 10, 2022, and will seek reelection to the Office Of Governor.

Priorities

The Priorities Of Governor Cooke During His First Full Term Include The Following Items:

  1. Establishing A Bill Outlawing The Death Penalty In The State Of New Shire.

  2. Establishing Laws Governing The Use Of Personal Amounts Of Marijuana.
